An Update From Dusty's - Covid-19

3/18/2020

Dusty's Sprinklers has always prioritized the health of its employees and customers alike. In the interest of our employees and company, we plan to continue working as long as it is practical and safe. Given our industry, we do have limited contact with others and/or large groups while working outdoors.

We plan to start the majority of our Spring install work in April as soon as the weather cooperates. We will screen all employees as they arrive to work. Employees exhibiting any signs of sickness will be sent home (fever, cough, shortness of breath, or subjective feelings of being unwell). We are also reminding employees of proper hand washing procedures, how to properly cough/sneeze, as well as other precautionary measures. Employees sent home may not return to work until they are symptom free for at least 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medication).

Dusty's will continue scheduling start up services starting mid-April. If customers are not able to turn on their sprinkler water valve (sometimes indoors) we will still assist if customers choose. If a Dusty's employee is asked to enter a customer's residence; they will take precautions and limit contact to only the necessary sprinkler components. If customers desire, we will postpone start up services.

It is in everyone's best interest to remain calm and have a reliable source for information. The CDC has published information and updates here:  www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV

With that said, please limit your visits to the office. We are available by phone, email, and text as listed below.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Erin Korpi

No Worry Water Savings With A Rain Sensor

5/31/2019

Have you ever shut off your sprinkler system when rain is in the forecast, or while it is raining? A rain sensor could do that for you!
Picture
Most rain-sensing devices work by accumulating a set amount of rainfall before a switch is activated that interrupts the circuit from the controller and shuts off the system. In that “accumulation time”, the system will unnecessarily continue to water.

This can look especially bad for conservation-conscious municipalities, businesses, and residences. With built-in Quick Response technology, the Hunter Rain-Clik and Wireless Rain-Clik can command a controller to shut off right when it starts to rain.

The Rain-Clik can be mounted on an eave or any flat vertical surface like a wall or fence. A gutter mount is also available that allows for easy installation of the Rain-Clik on the edge of a gutter.

Contact us for more information or to get an estimate today!

New Financing Options

5/23/2019

We are excited to share with you that we have recently partnered with EnerBank to offer financing to our customers!

Here are some of the reasons EnerBank’s unsecured home improvement loans make sense:
  • No waiting. Get the entire project you want completed now the way you want it, instead of waiting to save up the cash.
  • Flexibility. Styles, cost, and materials change frequently. Complete your entire project now, rather than in stages, and choose the payment option that fits best into your budget.
  • Unbeatable payment options. Choose to do your project now and pay later with our no interest and no monthly payment Same-As-Cash loan or pay for it over time with our low interest, low monthly payment loan.

We are currently offering two options: a 12-Month Same-As-Cash loan and a 6.99% 7-Year loan (listed below).

Please feel free to call or email if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule an estimate for an upcoming project.

Thank you for choosing Dusty's Sprinklers!

Weather Announcement

4/25/2019

There is potential for concerning low temperatures over the weekend. Here are some options that could prevent freezes in your sprinkler system.

  • Wrap your backflow in blankets, insulation, or heat tape
  • Run your system the evening that temperatures will be lowest
  • Shut off the water supply to your sprinkler system and pull the drain plug on the backflow

If you are unable to perform any of the above steps, and you would like Dusty’s Sprinklers staff to assist you, please contact us immediately.

Although we cannot predict the weather, and we are unsure if systems will freeze, the forecast for Sunday night does cause us concern.

Please feel free to call, email, or stop by the office if you have any questions.
